Focus/Antifocus

Today’s in-class exercise using the Nikon D80 creating shallow depth of field.

First three rows: ISO 100 // F3.5 // 1/50

Last row: ISO 100 // F3.5 // 1/120

First try at the library..

This one could have been clearer, if I used a tripod and let it expose longer (it would also be lighter)

I like how the dots make it really easy to visualize the blur that the shallow depth of field creates, as it diffuses around the circle

This one turned out nicely, with the drops being very sharp and clear – the background could have been lighter through longer exposure on the second done

I will try out more at home with my Canon 50mm 1.8 fixed lens, which creates really nice shallow depth of field!
